In India, we practice federalism in which we have governments at the state level and at the center. The vast no. of communities in India meant that a system of government needed to be devised that did not only involve the persons sitting in the capital city of New Delhi and making decisions for others. Instead, it was important to have another level of government so that the decisions could be made at that place.

Answer:

Federalism in India is practised by the creation of linguistic states ,language policy and centre state relations.

Linguistic states:- in 1947 ,the boundaries of several old states were changed in order to create new states . This was done to ensure that people who spoke the same language lived in the same state .
