A well diameter 150cm has a stone parapet around it. If the length of the outer edge of the parapet is 660cm ,then find the width of the parapet???

Given, the diameter of the well (d) = 150 cm.  Therefore radius of well                =75 cm Let radius and diameter of the parapet is R respectively. Since, length of the outer edge of the parapet = 660 cm. Therefore,=)2πR = 660 cm =)2R = 660 / π =) 2R=(660 x 7 )/22 =) R = 210/2 cmTherefore,R=105 R = 210 cm. Now, width of the parapet = ( Radius of parapet - Radius of the well) = (105 -75 )  = 30 cmHence, width of the parapet is 30 cm.
