hey mate here's ur ans :)

plants take up water and dissolved minerals from soil through the root hair present on roots these materials move to the cell of the plant tissue and then the xylem vessels when the water reaches xylem vessel it is transported from the route to the steel and then to the leaves this vessels are tube like structure which creates capillary effects and the water rises to ground to the top of the tree.

placed end to end that form tunnels through which water and minerals move upward from the roots (where they are taken in) to the rest of the plant.
