For the 1st one,

If -x = 8

Then x=-8

This is true if u multiply minus (-) on both sides then for L. H. S x becomes positive because (-)×(-)=(+) and on the right hand side 8 becomes negative because (+)×(-)=(-).

For the 2nd one,
-1=8
8=-1

This is also true because you have just transposed them.

yes it will be true... coz if we change the side of the digit from the other one the sign will not change.. therefore if we write -x=8 , then we can write it in opposite and the value of x are given as 8 so we can convert the sign from x to the 8.. and another one 8= -1, will be same if we write as -1=8.. hope it will help you.. thank u
