see. suppose ur on a bike. let speed is something about 40 km /h. now . that is speed u can't say that in this direction my speed is 40km / h .. in other hand. . velocity . supposed . u r in circular. motion this every important concept think u know about it. let u are walking around the circle . now. the magnitude of velocity is speed ok . now . according to u .ur going straight .but for the person who in center of the circle. observing ..u according to him. u r in circular . motion . hence. according to the observer u r changing u rdirection in per step . hence that is velocity . or which u r observing is only speed
