Ho much salt is added to 60 kg of a 20% solution of salt to increase it to a 40% solution of salt

here firstly find the 60 of 20%, to find the amount of salt in the soution.

ok then 60 of 20%= 12

now, we have find amount of salt in the solution.

again, let the amount of salt added to the solution so that its strength will be 40%= x

then added x with 12kg of salt=x+12.

and add also x with to that to the amount of solution=60+x

these process that i have done to increase its strength to 40%.

now according to question= 40% of (60+x)= x+12

 now,=> 40/100*60+40x/100= x+12

 here=> 24+2x/5= x+12

again=> 24-12= x-2x/5

here =>  12=3x/5

here the value of x=12*5/3

then x=20.
