We have 2 equations over here....So we just have to add them and our Y term gets eliminated.

x+y=6------equation 1

x-y=4-------equation 2

2x=10

x=5

Substitute X in any of the equations to get the value of y.

5+y=6(Substituting X value in equation 1)

y=1

Hope this helps u....Pls mark as Brainliest answer

x + y = 6  \\  x = 6 - y \\ put \: it \: in \: 2 \\  x - y = 4 \\ 6 - y - y = 4 \\ 6 - 2y = 4 \\ 6 = 4 + 2y \\ 6 - 4 = 2y \\ 2 = 2y \\ 1 = y \\ put \: it \: in1 \\ x + y = 6 \\x + 1 = 6 \\ x = 6 - 1 \\ x = 4

hbp77as: abe elimination pucha hai bande ne.... substitution nahi
