When we wash a turmeric stained cloth with soap or detergent, it becomes red. Because when turmeric reacts with base (alkali), from which most of the soap are made of, it becomes red. So, when turmeric stained cloth washed off with soap, it becomes red.
Now, how to remove the stain. We know that, it becomes red because of alkali based soap. So, we have to submerge it in vinegar or other weak acid. Then, wait for some time (15-30 mins). Now, wash the cloth with clean water. The stain will be removed from the cloth.
Hope it helps.
