 \frac{1}{2}  \times stress \times strain

 \frac{strain}{stress}  = youngs \: moduus

 =  \frac{1}{2} y \times  {strain}^{2}

 \frac{1}{2}  \times 9 \times  {10}^{11}  \times  {( \frac{0.01l}{l} )}^{2}  \\  \\  = 4.5 \times  {10}^{11}  \times  {10}^{ - 4}  \\  \\  = 45 \times  {10}^{6}
