Let first number is x and second is x+1

ATQ

 {x}^{2} + {(x + 1)}^{2} = 313 \\ {x}^{2} + {x}^{2} + 2x + 1 = 313 \\ 2 {x}^{2} + 2x + 1 - 313 = 0 \\ 2 {x}^{2} + 2x - 312 = 0 \\ 2( {x}^{2} + x - 156) = 0 \\ {x}^{2} + x - 156 = 0 \\ {x}^{2} + 13x - 12x - 156 = 0 \\ x(x + 13) - 12(x + 13) = 0 \\ (x + 13)(x - 12) = 0 \\ x -12 = 0 \: or \: x + 13 = 0 \\ x = 12 \: or \: x = - 13 \\ \: 12 \: answer \: is \: because \: it \: is \: not \: a \: natural \: number

first number is 12 and second is 12+1 =13
