appeasement was the policy followed by britain and France which led 2nd World war

Appeasement meant to accept the demands of aggressive powers like Japan Italy Germany provided that they are not too unreasonable.



they followed it bcz


*treaty of Versailles is too harsh


*germany & italy had genuine grivence


* they want to avoid war by following this policy as they were busy in internal affairs.
