Hii friend,

Sides of square = 4 cm

Area of square = (side)² = (4)² = 16 cm

RADIUS = 1 cm

Theta = 90°

THEREFORE,

Area of quadrant = πr²theta/ 360 = 22/7×1×1×90/360 = 0.78 cm²

DIAMETER OF CIRCLE = 2CM

RADIUS = D/2 = 2/2 = 1 CM

AREA OF CIRCLE = πR² = 22/7×1×1 = 3.14 cm²

AREA OF REMAINING PORTION OF THE SQUARE = AREA OF SQUARE - ( AREA OF CIRCLE+ AREA OF QUADRANT)

= 16- ( 3.14 + 0.78) = 16-3.92 = 12.08 CM² Ans...
