The cost of fencing a circular field at the rate of Rs. 24 per metre is Rs. 5280. The field is to be ploughed at the rate of Rs. 0.50 per m2. Find the cost of ploughing the field (Take π = 22/7).

solution

➢ For Rs.24, then length of fencing =1m

➢For Rs.52 so, the length of fencing

= 24/1 ×5280=220meters

➢Circumference of the field =220m

2pr=220

Therefore r= 44/220×7 =35m

Area of the field =πr²

π(35)² =1225

Cost of ploughing =Rs.0.50 per m²

Total cost of ploughing the field =Rs.1225

➢7×2/1225×22×1

➢Rs,1925.

Hence, the answer is 1925.

Answer:

total cost of fencing a circular field = Rs 5280

cost of fencing per metre = Rs 24

so total length of field = cost of fencing / cost of fencing per meter.

= 5280 / 24

= 220m

here,

total length of the field would be circumference of the circular field.

total length = circumference of the circular field.
