Answer :
Given :
Total number of oscillations = 40
Time required = 4 seconds.
Time required to complete a oscillation = 4/40
= 1/10 or 0.1 second.
Time period => 0.1 second.
Now,
We know that :
Frequency = 1/ Time period
= 1/ 0.1 or 10 Hertz.
Frequency = 10 Htz.

The sound from a mosquito is produced when it vibrates it's wings at an average rate of 500 vibrations per sec. What is the time period of the vibration?
Answer :
Given :
Frequency = 500 vibration per seconds
Time required = Total time taken / Total number of oscillations
= 1/ 500
= 0.002 seconds
Hence, the time period of the vibration is 0.002 seconds.
