Surface area of the Hollow cylinder is 264 cm² and the Volume is 110 cm³.

Given:

The inner radius of the hollow cylinder is 3 cm and the outer radius is 4 cm Height of the cylinder is 5 cm

To find:

Find the surface area and volume of the hollow cylinder

Solution:

Formula used:

Surface area of Hollow cylinder = 2π( R + r) (h + R – r)

Volume of Hollow cylinder = πh( R² – r² )

Where, R - Outer radius

r - Inner radius

h - Height

Using the above formulas,

Surface area of Hollow cylinder = 2π( 4 + 3) (5 + 4 – 3)

= 2π(7) (6)

= 264 cm²

Volume of Hollow cylinder = π(5)(4² – 3²)

= π(5)(16 – 9)

= π(35)

= 110 cm³

Therefore,

Surface area of the Hollow cylinder is 264 cm² and the Volume is 110 cm³.
