Hello mate here is your answer.
This phenomenon is known as Haplodiploidy, it is a determination system occur in some insects like in bees. In this system male developed from unfertilised egg and are haploid while female developed from fertilised egg and are diploid. There are three adult classes of honey bees the sperm producing male drones, egg laying queensand non reproductive female workers. The drone arose from an unfertilised egg and so he has only one set of chromosome from queen that is her mother and so has no father. Whereas, drone's mother arose from a fertilised egg simply means that she had two sets of chromosomes, one from her father and one from her mother implies that she had both mother and father, whereas her son (drone) has only grandfather or grandmother. It showed that drone (male) has no father and can't have son also.
Hope it helps you.
