Honey bees have three types of  individual in their colonies. (i) Sterile diploid female as workers, (ii) one fertile diploid female as queen and (iii) fertile haploid males s drones. Haploid drones develop from unfertilized eggs. Queen and workers develop from the fertilized eggs.
