Let the original price of pizza be £ x.

Discount = 20℅of x

➡ x * 20/100

➡ £ ( x/5 )

A/q,

original price - discount = reduced price

➡ x - ( x/5 ) = 5•60

➡ 4x/5 = 5•60

➡ x = ( 5•60 * 5 )/4

➡ x = 28/4

➡ x = 7

So, required answer is :-

original price of pizza is £ 7.

Hope it will help you !!!

The original price of the pizza is £ 7. if 20% discount is Offred and reduced price paid was  £5.60.

Given:

  • "HOT PIZZA" is offering a 20% discount on all pizzas.
  • Ali orders a pizza for the reduced price of £5.60

To Find:

  • The original price of the pizza

Solution:

Step 1:

Assume that Original Price of Pizza =£ x

Step 2:

Calculate 20 % Discount  on £ x

Discount = (20/100)x  = 0.2x   £

Step 3:

Calculate Reduced price and equate with  5.60  and solve for x

x - 0.2x = 5.6
