The ice cube which was solid hasturned into the liquid water because the air temperature is warmer than the freezers. Which means the iceparticles gather heat energy from the warmer air. Therefore the ice particles have enough energy to break apart (melt)into smaller particle arrangements.

When an ice cube melts the space between its molecules known as intermolecular space increases and intermolecular force decreases and it changes to liquid state that is water.
