In dc chemical energy stored in it convert into electrial once it use it cannot be used again.it is use and throw
while in ac we can charge a battery
while charging electrical energy convert into chemical and stored in it.
and when we want to use ac then chemical energy stored in it convert into electrical energy.

Electric charge in alternating current (AC), on the other hand, changes direction periodically. The voltage in AC circuits also periodically reverses because the current changes direction. Most of the digital electronics that you build will use DC.
