Initially,

the momentum of the body is

P=mv

here ,

m =the mass of the body

v= velocity of the body

Now ,

mass is decreased by 20%

m ' = m - 20 m /100

m ' = 100 m - 20m /100

m '= 80 m /100

m ' =0.8 m

velocity is increased by 20%

v ' = v + 20v /100

v ' = 120v /100

v ' = 1.2 v

New momentum ,

P '= m ' v '

P '= 0.8 m × 1.2 v

P '= 0.96 mv

P '= 0.96 P

% increase

= P - P ' /P ×100

= P - 0.96 P /P ×100

= 0.04 P /P ×100

=4 %
