When someone is drawing from the well the friction is active in two places. The places are as follow:
1. Friction can be noticed between the hands and the rope.
2. Friction can be noticed between the rope and pulley.
Both the friction helps in pulling up the water from the well.

Hi,
=======:
Here is your answer,
=======:
The basic possibility of occurrence of frictional force will be :-
1. Between the rope and the pulley, as by which pulling will get easier.
2. It will be between the ropes and the hands (if hand is used), as we have to make contact with rope for to pull.
