Ali revered the
building of post office as a pilgrim reveres the holiest shrine of his
religious building. In simple words, the post office was like Mecca for him!
Going to this building was the chief purpose of his existence. It was this
purpose that was keeping him alive!
Ali walked every day to the post office undaunted by cold or inclement weather. He went there everyday with the hope of receiving a letter from his daughter, Miriam, who had left him suddenly. He could survive such bitter cold only with power of hope and faith.
