how and why the number of chromosomes remain same in the sex determination of humans?

Hey mate,

During reproduction the number of chromosomes donated by male and female each are 23.
So 23+23 = 46 chromosomes which are the normal number of chromosomes in a human body.
These are 46 only so to insure the stability of human body.
