║⊕ANSWER⊕║

  • All organisms depend on soil for their sustenance, directly or indirectly.
  • Aquatic organisms depend on aquatic plants for survival.
  • These aquatic plants in turn require minerals for their sustenance.
  • These minerals are carried to water bodies by rivers, rainwater etc.

Without those minerals, life for an aquatic organism is impossible.

Bigger Aquatic Organisms → Smaller Aquatic organisms → Aquatic plants

  • Aquatic plants acquire nutrients from the soil which are washed into the water bodies.
