here 0.5 mol( mole) Na2CO3 means

0.5 = mass / 106

53 g = mass

and, 0.5 M means 0.5 molarity

molarity( M) = moles / volume in litres

0.5 M Na2CO3 = given moles of Na2CO3/ given volume in litres...
