how are abiotic different from biotic resources?

Hello friend.

Abiotic resources refer to those resources which are basically the chemical elements of the ecosystem. Some examples of abiotic resources could be soil, water , sunlight etc.

whereas the biotic factors are the living things that are present in the ecosystem which could include birds , animals ,the human race etc.
