how are bacteria able to perform photosynthesis without chloroplast ?Is the process different from prokaryotes? Explain.​

chloroplasts contain a photosynthetic pigment called chlorophyll. in the absence of chloroplasts bacteria can also perform photosynthesis through other photosynthetic pigments. also a few bacteria may exist in a symbiotic relationship like lichen through which they may extract nutrition
