Answer:

BONDING ORBITALS ARE FORMED BY CONSTRUCTIVE OVERLAP OF THE ORBITALS. THIS MEANS THAT THE +VE PHASE OF ONE ORBITAL COMBINES WITH THE +VE PHASE OF ANOTHER ORBITAL. BUT ANTI BONDING ARE FORMED BY DESTRUCTIVE OVERLAP WHICH MEANS THAT THE -VE PHASE OF ONE ORBITAL COMBINES WITH THE +VE PHASE OF ANOTHER. ANTI BONDING ORBITALS HAVE HIGHER ENERGY THEN ANTI BONDING AND SO ARE MORE UNSTABLE.... PLZ MARK AS BRAINLIEST☺☺

Answer:

Electrons in bonding orbitals stabilize the molecules because they are between the nuclei. They also have lower energies because they are closer to the nuclei

Antibonding pi orbitals have higer energy levels and less electron density between the nuclei
