Answer:

Literary sources are works of fiction or non-fiction with a general or specific depiction of the chronology of events or specific events surrounding the social, political, cultural, geographical situations in a standardised format. Examples are  Biographies, autobiographies, journals, etc.

Books and newspapers (first published by "Benjamin Harris" in 1690) since their advent have been serving as records of actual events. They depict a wide variety of literature such as Buddhism, Jain, Tamil and other secular literature that are important in knowing how various cultures lived and perished.  Examples include documenting of Imago Mundi, considered the oldest map, by Babylons in the 600 BC. These give us an insight into how life was at a certain period of time but also add to the existing literature from which current theories, technologies are developed which otherwise would have been disappeared unless documented.
