a chemical reaction is determined by such properties:
1.evolution of gas
as during a reaction ,evolution of gases occur like h2,N2
2.change in colour
after an chemical reaction change of colour occurs as blue coloured potassium permanganate turns pink on addition of indicator.
3.formation of precipitate
hence the formation of precipitate tend to indicate that chemical reaction occured .
