how are conductors different from insulators?

conductor is a substance which electricity to pass through them.
insulator is a substance which does not allow electricity to pass through them.

1) In conductors the electric current or heat can be flow freely but in insulators the electric current or heat can't be flow freely.
2) Examples of conductors are iron, copper, aluminum, etc.
Examples of insulators are wood, plastic, etc.
