Hey there,

You can just apply Pythagoras theorem i.e.
Hypotenuse ^2 = Base^2 + Height^2
15^2=12^2+ Height^2
Height^2= 225-144= 49
Height = 7.
So, Perpendicular length = 7 cm

H^2 = p^2 + b^2 ( BY PYTHAGORAS THEOREM )
=) by puting value of given data
=)15^2 = 12^2 + b^2
=) 225 = 144 + b^2
=) b^2 = 225 -144
=)b = sqrt of 81
=) b == 9

THEREFORE BASE = 9 CM
