(1) In democracy people enjoy their rights.

(2) There is no discrimination on the basis of colour, caste, creed, sex or economic status.

(3) Our government is elected by the people and administration of the country is carried on by the representatives of the people.

(4) The government is run according to some basic rules.

(5) It guarantees certain rights based on equality to establish social, political and economic justice.
