Hi there,
1. Weak acid: weak acid is an acid which does not completely dissociate in water. A weak acid has a low concentration of H+ ions. For example, Acetic acid.
2. Dilute acid: A dilute acid is a solution where acid is dissolved in a more volume of water than that of acid. Dilute acid is even Stronger than the weak acid after dilution. For example, Dil. HCl.
The Precautions should keep in mind while diluting an acid.
1. Never add water to acid, it can be explosive.
2. While diluting an acid, heat will be liberated from solution.
3. Always add acid to the water Slowly.
4. Wear Gloves and Mask while diluting an acid.
Hope it helped.
