<> On the election day, all the candidates visit the nearby election booth for voting.

<> They carry their voting cards with them as a proof for identity but one can also use other proofs such as driving license.

<> In the polling booth they stand in queues or lines.

<> When a person's chance comes he or she goes inside a room (so that his or her vote may be kept as private).

<> People use the EVM (Electronic Voting Machine) machine for voting.

<> They just have to press the button near the party's symbol.They vote for the party they want to.  

Thus,this is how polling or elections are held in India.
