Hey there!

Greenhouse effect is an overall increase in the average temperature of the Earth. Greenhouse effect is caused by greenhouse gases. Examples of greenhouse gases include carbon dioxide, methane, and water vapour. When solar radiations reach earth, some of these radiations are absorbed by earth and then released back to the atmosphere. Greenhouse gases present in the atmosphere trap these radiations and do not allow heat to leave. This helps in keeping our planet warm and thus, helps in human survival. However, an indiscriminate increase in the amount of greenhouse gases can lead to excessive increase in the Earth’s temperature leading to global warming.
Global Warming is an increase in the earth's atmospheric temperatures widely due to an increase in the greenhouse effect resulting especially from pollution. Global warming is melting of ice from poles because of the increase in the extent of carbon dioxide. If due to global warming all the ice from our poles melt into water, the water level on earth increases and submerge the land. Another major cause of global warming is deforestation.

Hey user, here is your answer...

How are greenhouse effect and global warming related.

What is Greenhouse Effect?

▶The gases which keep the Earth warm are called greenhouse gases and the effect of the gases on the Earth is called the greenhouse effect.

▶The examples of greenhouse gases are:- Carbon Dioxide, methane, water vapours, nitrous oxide, Chlorofluorocarbons etc.

▶It is because of these gases only heat is trapped and our Earth remains warm rather than being a cold planet without any vegetation.

What is Global Warming?

▶The greenhouse gas traps heat energy which raises the temperature of Earth which causes to melting of polar glaciers which leads to a rise in the sea level causing floods in the coastal areas is termed as global warming.
