living organisms such as plants are dependent on soil as the plant derives water and minerals from the soil. even the bacterium Rhizobium which helps in converting of nitrogen into nitrogen salts lives in soil. now humans are dependent on soil as if there will be no soil then how will plants grow? if plants can't grow, then from where will humans and animals get their food from? that is why organisms are dependent on soil.
