nice question, here is your answer-
see friend metalloids are different from metals as-
1. they have all substances that have same properties of metals and non- metals also so it makes it different from metals.
2. metals are good conductors of heat and electricity but matelloids are not a good conductors of heat and electricity .[another difference]
3. it is also known as semiconductors [because it has properties of metal and non metal] this makes another difference.
example is silicon,arsenic,antimony,
hope it helps. please mark it brainliest.

Answer:

A metalloid is a chemical element that exhibits some properties of metals and some of nonmetals. ... Boron, silicon, germanium, arsenic, antimony, tellurium, and polonium are metalloids. In some cases, authors may also class selenium, astatine, aluminum, and carbon as metalloids, but this is less common. Elements: Germanium; Polonium; Silicon; Selen
