The path followed during exchange of gases in plants:
- The gas exchange in plant takes place through leaves.
- A strong root consist of pores on the outer layer known as lenticels, these help in exchange of gases like oxygen and carbon dioxide.
- The gases can diffuse in to the 'spaces of the leaf' through the pores.
- These pores exist in the 'underside of the leaf' which is the stomata opening.
- The exchange of gases occurs across the 'surface of stem', 'root' and 'leaves' as well.
