Number system is very very very useful in our daily lives.

1) Number system is used to count things. For example, how many dogs are there? I will count them.

2) To measure fundamental quantities or physical quantities. For example, what is my height? I will use number system to represent my height.

3) To do calculations and solve daily life problems. For example, there are 4 rows of students in a classroom and in each row there are 10 students. So, instead of counting, I can do calculation also. 4 × 10 = 40. Therefore, there are 40 students in the particular class.
