if it is helpful mark as brainliest pls
Explanation:
A rainbow is caused by sunlight and atmospheric conditions. Light enters a water droplet, slowing down and bending as it goes from air to denser water. The light reflects off the inside of the droplet, separating into its component wavelengths--or colors. When light exits the droplet, it makes a rainbow.

Formation of rainbow:
- The rainbow is the most beautiful illustration of the Dispersion of white light and production of spectrum of sunlight in nature.
- in fact, a rainbow is a natural spectrum appearing in the sky after a rain shower.
- after a shower, some tiny raindrops remain suspended in the atmosphere.
- when sunlight falls on these drops, Dispersion of light takes place while undergoing refraction because the tiny water droplets act like small prism and so, a rainbow is formed.
Rainbow is always formed in a direction opposite to that of the sun. Therefore, an observer can see a rainbow only when his back is towards the sun.
In a commonly observed rainbow, the inner Arc is of violet colour and the outermost are is of red colour as shown in the figure.(refer to attachment).
