Well, I hope you're aware of the term FERTILIZATION. If not, no problems..
 
FERTILIZATION- It is a process in which the male and female gametes of the plant fuse in order to form a product called zygote.
After the fertilization takes place in the flower and its petals wither, the ovary of the flower grows mature and forms a fruit which becomes ripe while the ovules form seeds.
So, in this way, we can say that the process of FERTILIZATION helps in formation of seeds and fruit.
