How are somaclones different from somatic hybrids?

Somaclones: These are produced through micro-propagation or tissue culture. They are genetically identical to the parent plant, e.g., apple, tomato or banana.

Somatic hybrids: These are produced by fusion of protoplast of two different plants. They are genetically dissimilar e.g., Pomato (hybrid of potato and tomato).
