Answer:

sulphide ores are concentrated by froth flotation method

frothing agents are added like pine oil, eucalyptus oil, xanthates

strong stream of air is blown and the ore particles are adsorbed on the froth

some times impurity is also a sulphide so depressants are added like NaCN ,KCN,etc

Answer:

How are sulphide ores concentrated?

Explanation:

In froth floatation process, advantage is taken of prefferential wetting of ore particles by oil and gangue particles by water.

Pine oil or eucalyptus oil has tendency to wet metal sulphides. Thus sulphide ore is present in oily froth whereas gangue particles settle at the bottom, and hence fuller concentration is achieved.
