The body needs a variety of the following 5 nutrients - protein, carbohydrate, fat, vitamins and minerals - from the food we eat to stay healthy and productive. Nutrient content is helpful for our body as : 1) proteins give our body amino acids - the building blocks that help our body cells to do all of their everyday activities . 4) vitamins keep our bones strong ,our vision clear and sharp and our skin ,nails and hair healthy and growing
