- The MP's or Members of parliament are those persons who hold a position in the Parliament of a country. The two houses have a combined strength of 788 among which Lok Sabha has a total of 543 seats while the Rajya Sabha has 245 seats.
- In Lok Sabha, members are are elected directly via voting. Apart from this, the President adds Anglo-Indian members.
- While in Rajya Sabha, the members are indirectly elected by members of legislative assemblies of states and the President adds 12 members who have made a name in their respective fields.
