the states of forest and motion are relative because a person which is stationary with respect to one person can be in motion with respect to some other person just see that you are in rest because you are not moving and present on earth but since the earth is moving the person who is on moon will think that you are in motion another example is you are sitting in a car and with respect to your fellow you are not in motion because you are just sitting on car and the trees that passed by you are in motion but yet in the same time you are in motion with respect to a person who is standing on road and the trees that are beside him or stationery so we can say that the states of rest and motion are relative the thing which is in motion as conceived by one person can be in rest according to some other person or object
