Animals usually don't posses a vacuole , but rarely that do have vacuole. Animal's vacuole are just useless for them.

Plants posses a large central vacuole which have the pigment chloroplast  which helps plants in photosynthesis. Plants vacuole is considerably larger than that of animal's
So, they store energy within the vacuole. But for animals they posses mitochondria.
