Gravity or gravitational force is exerted by an object by the virtue of its mass. By nature, it is always attracting, i.e one object always tends to pull other objects toward itself.
Now Earth can be assumed as a solid sphere. So by symmetry we know that its centre of mass is at the centre. (centre of mass is a point at which all the matter of a body can be assumed to be concentrated) This means the whole Earth can be thought as a point mass situated at its centre with the same mass as that of Earth. So the resultant of the gravitational force exerted on us by each point of the earth, finally points towards this centre.

astitvastitva: Gravity and Gravitational force are not the same stuff
devjyotimitrars: yes they are but for more better understanding the topic i mentioned both
DevKataria: how does we gets attracted towards the earth ? Is there any magnet in HUMANS ?
astitvastitva: You wrote 'Gravity or Gravitational Force'. Dude, it's not the same thing. Gravitational Force is a force and Gravity is acceleration (as Einstein said). And it's Gravity that makes us to stick to the ground, not Gravitational Force...
DevKataria: How does gravity works ?
devjyotimitrars: man I just use this word to help other to understand...ok
devjyotimitrars: according to your how does gravity works? Gravity is a very important force. Every object in space exerts a gravitational pull on every other, and so gravity influences the paths taken by everything traveling through space. It is the glue that holds together entire galaxies. It keeps planets in orbit. It makes it possible to use human-made satellites and to go to and return from the Moon. It makes planets habitable by trapping gasses and liquids in an atmosphere.

According to Einstein, it is the matrix or plasma (known as space) which continuously pushes us to the earth's surface. That pushing is called Gravity, which is an acceleration, which tends us to remain on the surface of the Earth.

DevKataria: oh , so its like an invisible guy is pushing us down
DevKataria: but in actual we cant feel him
astitvastitva: Not a guy but an extremly streacheable fabric of space-time which never tear apart
DevKataria: okay..... I get it
